Four people quarantined in Hurungwe

Kariba Bureau
FOUR Zimbabweans returning through Chirundu Border Post have been quarantined at Vuti Quarantine Centre, as a measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19, amid indications that up to 30 more citizens will return from Namibia in the coming days.

There were already 13 people quarantined at the centre whose results are now waiting to be processed after samples were taken on Tuesday.

They will remain in quarantine until the end of the prescribed eight days before they are released for self-quarantine and monitoring at home.

Mashonaland West provincial development coordinator Mrs Cecilia Chitiyo said the Vuti Quarantine Centre was bracing for more returning residents who needed to be monitored before going to their respective homes. The four were not presenting any symptoms of Covid-19 or any health complications yet.
