Fox dominate Five-a-side league

BULAWAYO Metropolitan Province Five-a-side football log leaders Fox continued with their dominance of the proceedings by beating FC Amabhubesi 5-1 in a match played at BAC yesterday. Ronald Ndlovu scored a hattrick while Timothy Mawere and Mduduzi Ngwenya were also on target for the top team. Amabhubesi got their facesaver through Washington Moyo.
Amabhubesi came back with a vengeance in their second match of the day beating Rome 9-5 in a high scoring match.

The winners got their goals through hattrick heroes Washington Moyo and Mayibongwe Ndlovu, Thabani Majola (2) and Foster Nyathi.
Rome got its goal through Pardon Mathuthu’s brace, Nisa Ncube, Blessing Moyo and Njabulo Moyo who weighed in with a goal each.
Philani Banda who chairs the provincial body of the sport is happy with the progress they have made.

“Things have been going well, we are happy with the progress so far. Our challenge is referees, we are using one match official so now we want the top four teams to play at the same time,” said Banda.

The top three teams in the region will proceed to Harare for the national finals.
On Saturday, Rome had beaten Cowdray Park 3-0.
