Fraud fighters to hold indaba

According to the senior partner at Masc, Mr Thulani Sibanda the main thrust of the conference is to launch the ACFE Zimbabwe Chapter with a boom in order to boost the recognition of the international standing of the Certified Fraud Examiner qualification.
He said the conference would focus on mitigating the Risk of Fraud with Computer (cyber) Forensics. It will bring together more than 150 anti-fraud professionals, all with a shared desire to gain leading edge knowledge and explore the newest resources for fighting fraud to achieve their goals more effectively.
“Fraud is a universal challenge and it continues to be a major area of concern in both the public and private sectors. Fraud-fighting experts need the most up to date solutions that can be quickly understood and implemented hence the need for computer forensics.” Mr Sibanda said.
He said Masc Forensics is committed to providing these practical solutions at the annual fraud conference and exhibition as the conference programme has been structured to include presentations and workshops by leading experts on fraud and corruption, and related fields. Speakers at the conference include Deputy Attorney General-criminal division Mrs Florence Ziyambi, members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, representatives from the Insurance industry, financial institutions and other stakeholders.
The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is an international professional organisation with a mission to reduce the incidence of fraud and white-collar crime and assist its members in fraud detection and deterrence. It provides bona fide qualifications for Certified Fraud Examiners through administration of the CFE Examination and the ACFE Learnership.
