ALL participating teams in the International Cricket Council 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier B set to start in Bulawayo next week have announced their official squads for the competition, except Zimbabwe.
The squad will be new coach Dave Houghton’s first pick since he took over from Lalchand Rajput as head coach.
Sean Williams, who missed the recent limited-overs series against Namibia and Afghanistan after a family bereavement, is expected to make his way back into the Chevrons’ fold.
Others in line for a return are off-spinner Wellington Masakadza and fast bowler Richard Ngarava, who had been out injured, but have since recovered.
Leg-spinner John Masara and all-rounder Tony Munyonga are also making claims for a place in the final squad.
Fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani together with the likes of Graig Ervine, Ryan Burl and Tendai Chatara are also part of the training squad that arrived in Bulawayo last week.
All group matches of the tournament will be free for fans.
All fans have to do is provide proof that they have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
Fans will be required to fork out US$2 (grand stand) and US$1 (rest of the ground) for the semi-finals on July 15 and the final on July 17.
Queens Sports Club is the venue for the final. For children in school uniform, entry into all the 17 matches is free.
Zimbabwe are playing all their group matches at Queens Sports Club starting off against Singapore on Monday before they clash with Jersey the following day prior to taking on the United States of America on July 14.
