A MEMBER of dancehall star Freeman’s band has been dragged to court after he allegedly stole raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda’s phone from her car.

Tinotenda Kuchekacheka was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Lynn Chinzou.

The court heard that on June 24, at around 6am, Kuchekacheka, Bev and their friends were outside Bev’s flat along Fife Avenue.

It is the State’s case that Kuchekacheka took advantage that there was no one in Bev’s car, a Mazda CX5, and took an iphone 14 Pro max cellphone, which was between the driver’s seat and the passenger’s seat.

Bev allegedly tried to call her phone but Kuchekacheka would hang up until he switched it off.

Bev was later informed by Tendai Mukwinditsi and Maliki Issah that they saw Kuchekacheka coming from her car prompting her to file a police report.

Nothing was recovered.
