ZIMDANCEHALL star, Freeman, will pay homage at DZ Stadium to thank the community, which shaped his career, on April 1.
Freeman HKD will be supported by a soccer match during the day pitting Zimdancehall FC against Sungura FC.
The teams will be made up of different musicians.
The tickets are pegged at US$5 for the early birds.
This is his long-awaited performance on home soil since the launch of his debut album titled David & Goliath at Alex Sports Club last year.
With the album already a huge success, Freeman feels he needs to celebrate his achievements with the people who were the first to believe in him.
“The gig has been long overdue and ever since I moved from Bindura to Dzivaresekwa, it is special to me because it is my homecoming show.
“This means a lot to me and it’s a huge homecoming, my last performance in Dzivaresekwa was four years.
“The welcome show is always amazing, the reception they give makes me feel special because that place is my home,” said Freeman.
He stayed in the neighbourhood for years.
