SHE IS ONE OF US. . . Makhadzi set for another Zim show

SOUTH African energy goddess, Makhadzi,  might just as well adopt Zimbabwe as her second home.

The Limpopo diva, who has become a regular performer in the country, still cherishes the love she gets here.

In December last year, she held two sold-out gigs in Beitbridge and Harare.

Prior to that she had performed at the Kadoma Music Festival held at the Odyssey alongside the likes of Jah Prayzah, and other local stars, in October.

She returns to Zimbabwe for another dance with locals during the Easter holidays.

The gig has been set for the Manicaland Motoring Club April 7.

She will be supported by Killer  T.

Show coordinator, Jack Radics,  confirmed the show saying Makhadzi was happy to be back “home” for another performance.

“When I look at Makhadzi, I can see a passionate artist who loves her art.

“Back in South Africa, she was mocked for her looks but she didn’t look back.

“She has defied ridicule to concentrate on her job, which is music,” he said.

Radics said Killer T’s inclusion in the line-up was meant to add variety.

“We all know what Killer T can offer on stage and we hope fans will certainly get value for their money.

“Advance tickets, going for US$10, have been released as the countdown to the Easter holidays begins.

“As event coordinators, we also believe we are doing our best by promoting Makhadzi in other parts of Zimbabwe, especially in Manicaland, where they hardly host international acts.”

Makhadzi will also be performing in Mutare for the first time.

A number of local artists in Mutare are set to be given an opportunity to perform at the event.
