He took to the stage amid ululation and whistling from the appreciative youthful crowd and he did not waste time in introducing himself.
The self- acclaimed “dancehall doctor”, shocked the fans when he gave everyone who cared to listen a free lesson about taking good care of one’s parents.
“Remember where you came from. You should desist from spending all your fortunes while your parents are swimming in a pool of poverty. Do not forget where you came from.
“If you love your mother raise your hand in the air,” said before he burst into song and dance.
His interaction with the crowd was a marvel to watch. The crowd demanded and he listened much to the delight of the fans.
Most of the songs he sang were on social issues. It was, however, the song “Doctor”, which proved to be a doyen for many on the night. The song is about his girlfriend’s failure to tell her parents that she was in love with a musician. In the song, Freeman makes it clear that parents have negative perception about singers. The “Joina City” hitmaker left an undeletable mark on the Shamva folk.
Show promoter Caesar Kufandiko was overwhelmed with the attendance.
“I am obviously happy with the turn- out. I think we are going to bring more artistes here because it shows that people here love to have fun,” he said.
The show also saw rising dancehall star Uncle Flavor delivering a flawless act and proved to be the new force to reckon with in the dancehall circles.
