Friends in nasty fallout

A HARARE woman is at loggerheads with her former friend and workmate who she accuses of trying to snatch her husband.

Felistas Gumbo accused her former friend, Tafadzwa Ziyafanana, of having an affair with her husband.

She applied for a protection order against her at the Harare Civil Court yesterday.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted Felistas the protection order.

Felistas said Tafadzwa was abusive and showed up at her doorstep unannounced and uninvited.

“She has been subjecting me to verbal abuse because I busted her affair with my husband.

“She has a tendency of calling me whenever she wants, and coming to my house to insult me,” said Felistas.

But, Tafadzwa tried to deny the allegations and challenged her one-time friend to prove her accusations.

“She is lying against me,” said Tafadzwa.

Magistrate Chibindi ordered Tafadzwa to maintain peace.

The two former buddies then confronted each other outside the courtroom after the protection order was granted to Felistas.

Their friends pleaded with them to resolve their conflict amicably.

But, Tafadzwa told the friends that the matter wasn’t over, and she was going to deal with Felistas.
