WHEN the doors open, nothing can stop the diamond, which was buried in the soil, to shine.

Gonora Sounds, fronted by blind singer Daniel Gonora, is making waves in Milan, Italy.

Daniel, who plays alongside his son Isaac, used to entertain people in the heart of Harare at the Copacabana Rank.

Recently, they got a once-in-a-lifetime chance to tour Europe, as a band.

This week, Isaac entertained the Italians in Milan, as he showcased his skills as a drummer.

His visually-impaired father effortlessly made the audience dance and enjoy his guitar playing skills and singing style.

The story of Gonora Sounds feels like other tales of stars, who rose from humble beginnings, to greatness.

Daniel and Isaac have been sharing their experiences in the Milan streets.

Below is a caption on a video shared by Gonora Sounds, when they met Ferdinando in Italy.

Ferdinando once came to Zimbabwe in 2019 and was amazed by the talent of this father-and-son combination.

“In 2019 he travelled to #Zimbabwe to meet them both.

“He fell in love with the sounds and people of #Zimbabwe Ferdinando spent a few days in Harare, Zimbabwe, and loved the Zimbabwean people and sound so much.

“Today as part of a musical collective, we celebrate winning the Italian Tenco award for the album The Gathering.
