HIGHLANDERS are set to field a full-strength squad for this afternoon’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash against Triangle United after a turbulent week dominated by the club’s salary crisis.
The Bulawayo giants endured another difficult build-up to a league fixture after players downed tools over unpaid salaries and bonuses earlier this week, raising fears that the disruptions could affect preparations for the match.

However, all senior players are available for selection, giving coach Benjani Mwaruwari a timely boost as Bosso look to maintain momentum in the league campaign.
The development comes as a relief for supporters who had been left anxious by the latest unrest at the club, which has once again exposed Highlanders’ financial struggles.
Despite the off-field distractions, the players are expected to put their grievances aside temporarily and focus on the task at hand against a tricky Triangle outfit eager to capitalise on Bosso’s instability.
Highlanders have already experienced multiple salary-related interruptions this season, with the recurring disputes increasingly threatening to derail consistency both on and off the pitch.
Yet the decision by the players to make themselves available for selection highlights the squad’s determination to remain competitive despite the uncertainty surrounding the club’s finances.
For Benjani and his technical team, attention now shifts fully to the pitch as Bosso seek a positive result that could help ease pressure after a difficult week dominated by events away from football.
A strong performance today would also provide some encouragement to the Highlanders faithful, who continue to rally behind the team despite growing concerns over the club’s long-term financial stability.
