PREPARATIONS for this year’s 2013 Police Commissioner-General’s Fun Fair are at an advance stage with various artistes lined up to perform during the event. This year’s event will be held on September 28 and 29 at Morris Depot Grounds in the city.
National police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said preparations were on course and they were making final touches to ensure that the event would be a success.

“The event will be an all-night gala and we have lined up a lot of entertainment,” said Chief Supt Nyathi.
“We will also going to have a raffle draw and lucky winners will walk away with a brand new Ford Ranger, motorbike and a generator.”

Chief Supt Nyathi also said other prizes included a night for two in Victoria Falls, Kadoma and Kariba hotels.
He said tickets for the event were being sold at all police stations countrywide.

They will be going for US$5 for adults and US$1 for children.
“All games and rides would be US$1.

“We are encouraging people to buy the tickets and anyone can win the prizes as long as they buy the tickets. All the money from this event proceeds to charity,” Chief Supt Nyathi said.
