secretary Mrs Virginia Mabhiza said they had only managed to audit 154 of the 210 House of Assembly constituencies.
She said they had tried to engage development partners for help but to no avail.
“Our main challenge is that of funding,” said Mrs Mabhiza.
“We don’t have sufficient resources to take us where we want, as fast as we want.
“We continue to go to Treasury to look for funds but at times we don’t get as much. The idea now is that we should finish by March 30.”
Mrs Mabhiza said the ministry was not only looking at Treasury but also sourcing funds from other development partners to assist in the process.
“So far we haven’t received positive responses but we are quiet hopeful that we could mobilise some few resources to assist us in completing these audits,” she said.
