“The company was formed in 2000 and from then it has never looked back, therefore members within the Zafa must work tirelessly to develop the association and not consider any alterations.
“We want people to represent the funeral industry within guidelines of knowledge and wisdom that will make the organisation well recognised across the globe,” he said.
Mr Makina congratulated the new boss and encouraged him to soldier on with the leadership post.
“I am happy that Mr Gomba has taken the highest post within the association. I encourage him to soldier on and be courageous when handling his new responsibilities,” he said.
Mr Gomba said he and his new team would work tirelessly to craft the association to partner with government in their endeavours.
“I am happy to be sworn in as the new president. I foresee Zafa becoming a close government partner in the near future,” he said.
He encouraged Zafa members to unite and fulfill their 2013 aims and objectives.
“The only way we will achieve the stated issues is by uniting as an association and collective body.
“Zafa will endure, grow and develop because we believe in one common vision of giving sanity to the industry and professional services to the nation,” he said.
Doves managing director Mr Talent Maziwisa alluded that it is imperative for Zafa to maintain policies that benefit the public.
He highlighted the need for the assurer to be systematic and efficient in service delivery.
“We need to promote ethical business conduct irregardless of our competitors and this can only be attained through organisation and harmonisation within the assurance company,” he said.
