Anne’s Hospital last Wednesday.
Speaking at the burial, Minister of State and National Security Dr Sydney Sekeremayi described Mrs Mutevera as a humble and distinguished person who related well with the community.
The burial was also attended by Zanu-PF National chairman Cde Simon K Moyo, former Speaker of Parliament Cde Cyril Ndebele, Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Force General Constantine Chiwenga and Zimbabwe National Army Commander, Leutenant General Phillip Valerio Sibanda, among others.
The director administration in the President’s Office Dr Gift Machengete represented the Director- General Retired Major-General Happyton Bonyongwe at the funeral.
Mrs Mutevera, who was a trained nurse also worked in Zambia as a broadcaster before furthering her nursing profession in the United Kingdom.
When she came back to Zimbabwe, Mrs Mutevera opened a private surgery where she offered free medical treatment and counselling to many people.
Mrs Mutevera left behind three children and several grandchildren.
