Renowned gospel diva Fungisai Zvakavapano–Mashavave is set to rock the city of Johannesburg this weekend where she will stage two shows. The gospel sensation said the shows are meant to reignite love with her fans in South Africa.
It has been a while without making time for my fans in South Africa and I promise to deliver polished acts during the shows.

Fungisai said everything was in place and is raring to go.

“Everything is in place now and I am leaving Zimbabwe tommorow (today). I am looking forward to these shows,”she said.

Her first show will be on Saturday at City Hall and the second will be on Monday at Zaoga HQ Auditorium.

For the past week through her face book page,  Fungisai has been giving away some tickets to lucky winners who answered questions correctly for the two shows.

The “Makomborero” hit-maker collaborative album, titled “Social Facts”, has proved popular among fans of the genre.

It features the following known musicians; Jah Prayzah, Albert Nyathi, Mudiwa Mtandwa and South African gospel singer, Buhle Mahlangulela.

The album has songs such as “Super Power”, “Gore Rapera”, “I Know My Destiny”, “Wedding Bells”, “Jesu Ndomuda” and “Zuva Rabuda” that are spiritually uplifting.

Fungisai captured the national consciousness since bursting on to the scene as a 19-year-old gospel novice under the wing of veteran singer Elias Musakwa at the turn of the millennium.

She went on to produce nine successful albums and is regarded as one of the best gospel musicians in the country.
