Fuzzy L, Pauline step up anti-drug abuse fight

MOTORSPORT enthusiast, Fuzzy L, reckons the fight against drug abuse requires a combined approach with other celebrities.

Born Manzul Fazilahmed, the sports fanatic has opened a studio in Highfield with a focus on creating a safe space for female artists.

Under the Afrotonic Music banner, the studio is co-owned by songstress Pauline Gundiza.

“I partnered with Pauline Gundidza who also has a focus on creating a safe space for female artists away from the abuses they face in the music industry.

“We came up with the idea to follow my passion for music by creating a safe platform for young musicians drawing them away from all forms of drug and substance abuse,” said Fuzzy L.

The duo also feels there is a lot undiscovered talent in the high-density suburb.

“Growing up and living in Highfield has taught us that a lot of young talent has been wasted and remains undiscovered. Only a recording studio was lacking,” he said.

He said the studio is now open and they have a resident producer, Good Kid The Bass Boy, who is raring to go.

The studio will also include a rehearsal room where all amateurs will have their first date before getting into the real studio.

“Having our own studio also allows us to control our quality of music, the time it takes for it to be produced and released.

“We have just finished our initial setup of the studio, which allows us to work and create music on an international standard,” he said.

For Pauline, the partnership resonates with her dream to give back to society and also to fight the stigma and abuses of the girl child.
