Hubby’s ex torments woman

A Harare woman applied for a protection order against her husband’s ex who has been tormenting and disturbing her peace.

Millicent Gumede claims her husband’s ex, Perpetual Goto, has been a big problem to her and her family.

“She calls me during odd hours and sends me text messages insulting me using obscenities.

“At one point she hired four men and they came and assaulted me and my mother,” she said.

In response, Goto opposed the application.

“I have never been to her place of residence. She is the one who comes to my house.

“We only exchanged words on the phone. Her husband Nyasha is the one who has been visiting my place of residence, and my relatives even know him. I am even pregnant by him,” she said.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the protection order application and ordered Goto not to physically abuse or insult Millicent.
