Gahadzikwa dreams of Bosso title

HIGHLANDERS’ mid-season acquisition Allan Gahadzikwa believes the Castle Lager Premiership championship title is still there for the picking and his side are firmly in the race.

The former champions have gone for five consecutive matches without posting a win.

The barren spell has seen them losing to CAPS United, Mutare City, Triangle and ZPC Kariba as well as sharing the spoils with city rivals Chicken Inn.

Bosso are now 10 points behind leaders FC Platinum.

Gahadzikwa, who won the title with Motor Action in 2010, said his side were still in the race.

“Our team has not been doing very well in the past five games and it is obviously a concern considering that we have slipped from the position we were on the log standings.

“We have to pull our socks to try and play catch up with the top teams.

“The second half of the season is always difficult, but we are going to give it our best shot to try and force our way to the podium,” he said.

Ironically, Bosso have not won a match since the midfielder arrived from CAPS United.

“Yes the team has failed to win since I joined them, but I am no superstitious, I just hope and believe that we will get it right and force our way back to the top,” said Gahadzikwa.
