VETERAN radio personality Gibson Ncube has joined Star FM after his contract at ZiFM Stereo was not renewed after serving three years at the station.

Ncube, who hosted the Zi Saturday on ZiFM, now hosts the Dance Factory on Star FM every Saturday from 6PM to 9PM.

The Bulawayo radio personality decided to switch sides and join Star FM after his contract with AB Communications expired on August 15.

He said he was pleased to be reuniting with Otis Da Flow Fraser who taught him the ropes.

“I’ve been given a warm welcome by my new colleagues and I feel at home already. What makes it more exciting is that I’m now with the first person that put me on radio in Zimbabwe, the person who taught me a lot about club DJing, Otis “The Flow” Fraser,” said Ncube.

“I’m honoured to join Star FM, a team of talented presenters and djs who are taking radio to the people.”

Ncube described the show as upbeat and energetic.

“I hope our listeners will love and enjoy the show because I’m just going to continue from where I left off at ZiFM. I’m going to continue hosting what I think is the best Saturday evening radio show in Zimbabwe,” he said.

Ncube, whose last show on ZiFM was on May 5, thanked ZiFM for the three years he worked at the station.

“I loved every minute of being at ZiFM and I want to thank everyone there for their support especially Susan Makore, Pamela Gwanzura, Tendai Madondo and Tony Friday,” said Ncube.
