Harare Girls High School team captain Momeni Tavaziva (17) said the competition has given them a rare opportunity to bring the girl child on the national rugby scene.
“Most people think the Cottco Rugby Festival is for boys only. The girl should be supported in every aspect of life creating a gender equality base.

“All the teams that participated were good, although we happen to be the most decorated side this year,” said Tavaziva.
Harare Girls High proved their weight on the very opening match when they thumped Eaglesvale 32-0 followed by a clean 17- 0 victory over Roosevelt Girls on Wednesday.
The explosive George Stark side also happened to be the most improved girls’ team this year after an emphatic 32- 5 win over Eaglesvale on Monday.
