MUTARE city councillors will be expected to have ward based feedback meetings once every month as part of their responsibility in service delivery, Mayor, Councillor Simon Chabuka has said.

In his remakes during a full council meeting held today at Civic Centre, Councillor Chabuka said: “Our target this year is that we have a ward based meeting once every month. Every councillor will sign a performance contract that will be validated by the mayor for onward validation by the Local Government and Public Works Minister.

“There will be no room for complacency in local authority issues. We also urge residents to take ward feedback meetings seriously. They should attend these meetings because this is the only way we may know what residents want us implemented and where we are falling short.”
