THE National Futsal League successfully held its inaugural end-of-season awards ceremony on Sunday at Bulawayo’s YWCA Hostels.

The awards event was largely dominated by league champions Go-Boyz, who went home with the winners’ trophy and gold medals.

As if that was not enough, their gaffer Michael Gumede was named Coach of the Year, while their gifted player Thabani Mlilo graced the podium twice after he was named Best Player of the Season and Top Goal Scorer of the Season.

First runners-up Nedbank FC received silver medals, while TNS Rovers were awarded bronze medals after finishing as the third-best club in the league.

The awards ceremony was graced by Zifa executive committee member responsible for competitions Professor Thomas Marambanyika, National Futsal president Philani Banda, respective club coaches and their players.
