‘Go to Maintenance Court’, woman told

A Glen View woman sought a peace order against her husband’s lover, accusing her of sending her death threats.

Regina Chipunza claimed that her husband’s mistress, Febby Mashiri, was in the habit of calling and texting her, insulting and even threatening her with death.

“She had a baby with my husband, now she comes to my house insulting me in front of my children saying that I am a prostitute just like her.

“She threatens me saying that pandofambira hapameri sora and I am now afraid,” said Regina.

Febby did not dispute Regina’s testimony, and said she only went to the house to collect child maintenance and not to breach Regina’s peace.

“We are co-wives and our husband instructed me to go there to collect the maintenance and she denied me entry to her house.

“I only text and call our husband’s phone and not her,” said Febby.

Magistrate Sharon Mashavira granted Regina the peace order and ordered Febby to maintain peace or face arrest.

“Go to the Maintenance Court when you need maintenance and not to her house,” the magistrate said.
