South African Fifa instructor, Alegandro Heredia, will be helped by Zifa technical director Nelson Matongorere, former Warriors goalkeeper’s trainer Richard Tswatswa and Brian Moyo the Zifa education officer.
Matongorere said it was part of their capacity building exercise, in terms of goalkeeping, which is now a specialised position.
“We would have loved to have a large number of participants but space and facilities let us down,” said Matongorere. “We will be mainly dealing with former goalkeepers and some are still active as coaches of that specialised position.” The event will be held at the Germany Embassy for the theory part while the practicals are set for Old Hararians.
Several former goalkeepers have confirmed their participation and they include CAPS United assistant coach , Brenna Msiska, Nkululeko Dhlamini of Monomotapa and the Mighty Warriors, Gift Muzadzi of Triangle, Peter Nkomo, Shadreck Magurasave, Themba Sibanda, Weekly Mwale, Innocent Chogugudza, Peter Mabizela, Labani Kandi, Charles Joe, George Chihore and Chenjerai Dube.
