Gokwe hailed for improved service

THE Government has applauded Gokwe Town Council for improving service delivery.

The town council recently purchased two tipper trucks, two Nissan NP 200 and one Datsun GO.

The handover ceremony was graced by the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Paul Mavima and Gokwe Town Council officials .

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Mavima said councils should utilise resources wisely and all residents including district councils should take an active interest in how funds were being utilised.”

Gokwe Town Council was established under the Urban Councils Act chapter (29.15) on first of July 2006.
