Gokwe Police seek four suspects in fatal attack on Nelson Silemba over Chief’s Court conviction

Police in Gokwe have launched a manhunt for four suspects who are wanted in connection with a murder case.

The suspects are accused of killing Nelson Silemba (47) after accusing him of being responsible for their conviction at a Chief’s Court for an assault case.

The Chief’s Court fined them two cattle.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident said in a statement.

“The ZRP is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Blessed Gwinya, Loyal Mpofu, Wuzu Moyo and Munashe Makore, who are being sought by the police in connection with a murder case in which they allegedly killed Nelson Silemba, aged 47, on October 25, 2025 in Fandwana Village, Gokwe. The suspects allegedly attacked the victim with machetes, axes and knives.

“They accused him of being responsible for their conviction and fining at the Chief’s Court in Gokwe over an assault case in which one of the suspects had cut the victim’s finger,” he said.

“Anyone with information that might assist with investigations must report at the nearest police station.”
