A BINDURA gold processing company has successfully applied for a peace order against one of its tenants for violating a court order.
Timsite Enterprises, located at Barrase Farm, through one of its management team members, Pang Darong, said Mirirai Chebanga was found in contempt of court.
He was sentenced to community service in 2019.
Chabenga went on to disrupt the peace at Timisite Enterprises owners, and workers, forcing Pang to apply for a peace order last week.
“Mirirai Chabenga was ordered by the court to keep peace with the company owner sometime in 2019.
“He was evicted from the premises and then returned, thereby violating a court order.
“He has been prohibited from approaching, or entering Timsite Enterprises situated at Barrase Farm in Bindura, for the purpose of violence.
“He was further prohibited from sending threatening messages to the company owner,” said Pang.
The officials also emphasised that Timisite Enterprises was not closed over a registration glitch and the company’s managing director left the country to attend to his ailing mother.
He said Chabenga’s claim to be company secretary, by power of attorney, was his own plan to cover up for the real company secretary, who is under investigation.
Pang said the changes in company directors were done well above board. One former Timsite Enterprises worker, Minglei Cheng, who Chabenga claims to have given him power of attorney, is among people wanted by the police over the company’s issues.
