Golding Dube back in SA

Aaron Dube in Johannesburg, South Africa
WELL travelled former Zimbabwe AmaZulu defender Golding Dube has landed a job at South African lower division side Blue Stars in Pretoria. He joined the club last week after stints with several Swaziland football clubs.

His last job was at Moneni Pirates in Swaziland.

“It was a life changing experience coaching in a top league outside my home country. I’ve learnt a lot in the beautiful game and believe me there’s a lot I’ve to offer,” said Dube.

The former Manzini Sundowns Red Lions coach said he was grateful for the exposure and experience gained in Swaziland; “In that country I had built a strong relationship with many football officials who really appreciated my management. My achievements in that country speak volumes and I had a few Zimbabweans who were plying their trade there like Ndodana Sibanda,” said Dube.

Dube played in South Africa in 2000-2002 for Rainbow Stars and Avondale Athletico which campaigned in the First Division.

Dube previously worked at Blue Stars before he headed to Black Leopards in 2012 as development side coach.

He said the desire for success was still high at the club.

A man who believes in junior development, Dube in 2010 established a football academy in a partnership with the City of Mbabane where he discovered many talents.

Dube holds the Caf B licence.

At AmaZulu he played alongside great players like the late Benjamin Nkonjera, Ronald “Gidiza” Sibanda, Nkosana Gumbo, Esrom Nyandoro, Muzondiwa Mugadza, Kelvin Mushangazhike and Isaac Riyano.
