PREMIERSHIP debutants Whawha have hinted that the club might be making changes in the technical department.
This has raised speculation that former FC Platinum coach, Lloyd Mutasa, could be roped into the club’s structures.Mutasa was part of coaches who assessed players during the club’s five-day trial period which ended yesterday at the Whawha Prison grounds.

The correctional services side vice chairman, Ruzvidzo Muchongwe, said the media would be advised of the new technical set up.

“Lloyd Mutasa is here for these trials as technical manager but at the moment we still have Luke Jukulile-Petros as our head coach. For the final technical set up you’ll be advised in due course.

“As you know we had Luke when we were in Division One and we’re now going into the premiership so there’re some adjustments which need to be done to suit the elite league. At the moment we can’t disclose until the right time comes,” he said.

Meanwhile, 18 players were identified during the trial period with only two players with premiership experience being drafted in.

Former Buffaloes and Shabanie Mine forward, Michael Mageja and Simbarashe Zimora who once turned out for Motor Action, are the two players with premiership expereince.

Chiredzi defender Fidelis Mangezi was also part of the trialists but failed to impress the coaches.

Jukulile said the door was still open to players with premiership experience to join “Chekera Pasi” as the correctional services side is affectionately known.

He said: “The doors are still open to players who still want to try their luck with us. We’re going to evaluate them and make recommendations to the executive.”
