Gondwe bails out Shabanie

for them to sign players,” Gondwe told The Herald.
“I am thrilled that we now have some youngsters in the team and I just want to assure the fans out there that Shabanie will be far stronger this season. I am just urging fans out there to keep on rallying behind the team and also to keep on voting so that we participate in the Net One Charity Shield because I feel we are a big team with a good following and that is the reason why we finished it at the Top Eight.
“We are also one of the giants and we would like to mantain our position in the PSL.” Shabanie has so far managed to sign three players from relegated Gunners.
The miners this week signed two midfielders, Valentine Ndava and Fungai Chirinda, and Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe from Chando Kupisa.
Peter Muzondo, another leftback, has also joined the team from Setheo, a Masvingo based team.
Prodigal son, Clifford Nyoni, who had an unforgettable season at Hardbody, is back with Shabanie.
Norman Togara is also training with Shabanie. Defender Pardon Marima, who spent the whole of last season serving a suspension, is back in favour. “Pardon (Marima) is our player. He never left us when we suspended him so we are going to take him back on board. We will also welcome players from other teams provided they have respect for their previous executives,” said Fidelis Chimedza, the Shabanie Football Club chairman.
Norman Maroto has also been seen in the mining town but it is still to be established if he has interest in joining Shabanie Mine. The club has appointed coach Arnold Jani to take charge of the team on an interim basis and he will be assisted by Phillip Sithole.
