The Bulawayo golfer took the title away from Barry Painting, who was not available to defend it, this time around.
Gordad was the non-travelling reserve for the Zimbabwe team that took part in the All-Africa golf championships in South Africa last week.
Leading amateur Clive Nguru missed the tournament because of school commitments. Kyle Basson finished second at Leopard Rocj after shooting 70, 81 and 73.
John Chigaba finished third on his home course after scores of 74, 74 and 80. Big Chibvuri was fourth.
Lowveld Pro-Am champion, Benjamin Follet-Smith, could only settle for seventh. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe will have to wait a bit longer in their bid to host the next edition of the All-Africa golf championships.
Zimbabwe Golf association, Martin Rateiwa, revealed that the decision to choose the next host country was deferred until next year.
“Due to a hiccup the bidding was deferred to April 2012 in Botswana. We will be bidding against Cote d’Ivoire.
“Team Zimbabwe came sixth out of 11 countries that participated.
“South Africacame first, winning by a very wide margin of 57 shots ahead of the second-placed Namibia.
“On the individuals’ performance, our top amateur Clive Nguru, was 11th,” Rateiwa said.
