Goromonzi, Katsamba take Credsure title

The golfers managed 46 points to get the better of 80 golfers who took to the field.
Goromonzi was a happy man and gave credit to his partner and the Royal Harare golf course maintenance team.
“I am happy for winning this tournament and I give credit to my partner who gave us the push that made us a good team.
“The course condition was perfect and we encourage the maintenance team to keep on the good work they are doing.
“We had the competition and to those who could not make it today, we say there is always next time and do not lose hope,” Goromonzi said.
Steven Terera and Denis Tapson were in second place after they amassed 45 points.
The duo counted out Tirivashe Matambanadzo and Christobel Washaya who had the same points.
Matambanadzo and Washaya had to settle for third place.
Ian Possow and Francis Bwanya, who managed 45 points as well, were fourth.
Meanwhile top amateur golfer Scott Vincent will play his last local competitive game this week when he takes part in the Harare Amateur.
The United States-bound golfer said he is looking forward to the game after spending some time in South Africa.
“I am going to take part in the Harare Amateur after I was away for some time and I look forward to the game as it will be my last competitive game.
“There is a lot of competition in amateur tournaments but I am looking forward to leaving on a winning note,” Vincent said.
The golfer will leave the country on 12 August after he secured a golf scholarship in the United States.
