RISING gospel artist, Gracious Sithole, believes she is moving in the right direction.
The 23-year-old said ever since she produced her first song Ndisunungurei Mambo in 2019, her music career has continued to grow.
Gracious said her family was surprised by her talent the first time they heard her music.
She was encouraged by their positive reaction which kept her perfecting her career.
“My parents started showing everyone what my voice could do,” she said.
Most of Gracious’ inspiration stems from personal experiences, along with the experiences of her family and friends.
“I have always envied Jah Prayzah’s work and also many gospel artists. I’m so excited to have held three shows this year,” she said.
Besides music, Gracious is a women’s rights defender who also does charity work.
“Currently, I’m teaching at Hibiscus ECD Centre in Zvishavane. I have been donating pads in rural areas and I have always been a pillar for young girls.
“Music wise, I’m planning to hold some collaborations with a number of artists.
“I often work on music together with Agatha Murudzwa and do melodies throughout the week,” she said.
When she was 19, Gracious was expelled from school for unbecoming behaviour which made her turn to music.
“At the age of 19, my life took a different turn which directed me to music so that I can be able to tell my own story,” she said.
