BULAWAYO-based gospel musician Thembi Sibanda will be part of a star-studded cast to perform at the White City Stadium’s B Arena during Goodness and Mercy Ministries’ (GMM) potentially explosive night of praise and worship.
The honour comes amid complaints from some upcoming gospel artistes in the city that they were being sidelined from sharing the stage with “big” artistes from outside Bulawayo whenever they were performing locally.
The young gospel musician and her group, Sisters of Paradise who are also on top of their game will perform during the GMM leader Prophet Tapiwa Freddy’s crusade dubbed “Spiritual Spectacles Night Bulawayo Edition 2 ” on 29 March.
The gospel diva will be supported by some Harare gospel artistes including the Favour hit-maker Mathias Mhere, Agatha Murudzwa and Bethany Pasinawako-Ngolomi.
Sibanda said she was glad to share the stage with some of the country’s great gospel artistes.
“I am very happy to have an opportunity like this especially sharing a stage with a big artiste like Mathias Mhere. I will be rocking the “Spiritual Spectacles Night Bulawayo Edition 2” being hosted by Prophet Freddy with fellow hit makers Sisters of Paradise.
“My performance is in line with my mission to make sure that the message carried in our songs especially from our last album Ngiyohlala Ethembeni touches souls and strengthens people faced with life’s challenges. It’ll be an exciting event of praise and worship and exploring time in the presence of God,” said Sibanda.
According to GMM, the event has been organised following public demand.
“We are going to Bulawayo because the number of people from Matabeleland who visit our offices daily keeps increasing. So we are giving them the opportunity to have an experience of the spiritual spectacles in their own backyard. However, we are not only going to Bulawayo for miracles but also to preach the Word of Jesus and we also expect a lot of people to give their lives to Christ.”
The prophet appealed to Bulawayo residents to turn up in large numbers.
“We are expecting a huge crowd as we are coming by public demand. The conference will start at 8pm and end the following morning at the White City Stadium B Arena 2 where people will experience the supernatural power of God”.
He added: “Spiritual spectacles is an anointing within me that enables me to pray for individuals and immediately an individual will be able to see in the spiritual realm and will be able to see visions of their life or prophesy themselves in the same manner that Prophet Elisha did.”
Prophet Freddy who is also famed for his unique way of spiritual healing and deliverance through “Spiritual Spectacles” has also promised to perform his latest song Tinopembera, taken from the album 100% Prophetic whose video portrays a wedding celebration laced with humour.
In the video Prophet Freddy plays the role of the bride groom’s father while Bethany Pasinawako-Ngolomi and Baba Harare are the bride and the bridegroom respectively with Chibhodhoro junior as the master of ceremonies alongside Dj Tando.
