Gospel diva Jane Doka working on fourth album

The 10-track album was recorded at Monolio Studios and includes stellar performances by instrumentalists and vocalists like Clive Mono Mkundu, Enock Piroro, Derrick Mpofu, Gas Smith, Esther Mukazika and Fatima Katiji whose presence enriches its appeal.

“Reflections” is her fourth offering after “Nditumei” released in 2007, “Tenda – Live in Concert” (2010) and “Live in London”.
“On this album I reflected on various aspects of life like faith, hope and love,” Jane said.

And true to her words, Jane shows her mature view of issues affecting people as she does on the track “Hatirase” about the virtues of having faith in Jesus Christ. The power of prayer and how it can transform people’s lives makes up the gist of the song “Minamato Ine Simba”.
The diva expresses her pride in being African in the song “Proudly African”.

The rest of the songs on the album are just as impressive. Her music is Afro-centric to capture a wider audience both in Africa and in the Diaspora.
“I have performed in England, although all is not that rosy in that country,” she said.

Born on October 11, 1982 in Harare, Jane started her music career in high school and the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe where she was a member of the Scripture Union.
She was one of the founder members of the group True Saints, which recorded an album before she moved to South Africa to pursue her law studies at Fort Hare from 2003 to 2006.
Jane then relocated to England.
