Australia-based Zimbabwean gospel musician Tarisai Vushe has released her new album titled, The Journey, a project that reflects her life experiences and unwavering faith in the face of misfortunes.
The project, which is anchored on the lead single – No Greater Love – released on February 20, explores themes of identity, perseverance, and spiritual grounding.
Through a blend of musical influences shaped by her multicultural experiences in Australia, Vushe delivers a message aimed particularly at artists navigating criticism, self-doubt, and the pressures of seeking validation.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the album, Vushe described it as a reflection of “different seasons” in her life.
She said each track captures a unique chapter, offering people insight into the emotional and spiritual growth they can experience in their day to day lives.
“The lead single, No Greater Love, carries a strong message of encouragement, reminding listeners that divine grace and unconditional love remain constant even in difficult times.
“The song emphasises finding inner peace through faith rather than external validation and that theme resonates throughout the album,” she said.
Beyond her music career, Vushe is a multifaceted professional whose work spans the arts, mental health, and community advocacy.
She is currently performing in the Pridelands tour of The Lion King musical, adding to an impressive theatre portfolio that includes productions such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Parade, and Madiba.
As founder of the mental health initiative Safe Space and Affirmation, she provides support to individuals facing psychological challenges.
She also leads Sheun, an organisation dedicated to supporting people with disabilities and promoting inclusion in Australia.
