Gospel house artiste seeks sponsorship for Harare show

The song has a slow smooth-paced house beat and the lyrics are in English.

The 17-year-old soft-spoken Chiwariro from Bulawayo’s Mpopoma suburb said she had been writing songs during her high school days at Lukuluba Secondary School where she completed her ordinary level last year.

“I went to Harare last month and promoters were impressed with my song and they requested me to come back and talk about a performance there. I am in Bulawayo to re-record the song because the original disc was damaged,” said Chiwariro.

She said My Life talks about the struggles in life she faced and how God intervened each time.

“The song talks about my life and my struggles. During the time I was in school I had problems and I decided to write a song about them. The song is about the decision I made that my problems would be solved when I pray,” said Chiwariro.

She said people like Jah Prayzah mentored her and have given her much-needed encouragement not to be offended by criticism.

“People like Jah Prayzah have taught me that I should not take heart to people’s opinion but persevere in my talent and all will be well,” said Chiwariro.

She said she would record an album after doing a show in Harare to promote her music.

“I have eight tracks that are ready to be recorded and when I do the show I will record the tracks. I want to record with Jah Prayzah and Suluman Chimbetu. I have other songs in the pipeline but I will record these ones first,” said Chiwariro.
