GIFTED gospel musician, Caroline Chidzikwe will tomorrow (Saturday) launch her new album titled ‘Mwari Munoshamisa’ at Courtauld Theatre as she continues ministering the Word of God through song.

Backed by her band, The Throne Worshippers, Chidzikwe will share the stage with the award-winning duo of Dorcas Moyo and Blessing Shumba as well as other established and blossoming artistes.

The latest offering is her second full album following the release of her debut project, ‘Zvinoda Mutsimba’ in 2020.

It carries six tracks – ‘Mwari Munoshamisa’, ‘Ndichadana’, ‘Ndina Mwari’, ‘Zviratidzei’, ‘Hariperi Simba’, ‘Jesu Mupenyu’ — and a bonus track, ‘Zita Renyu’.

Chidzikwe features the high-riding Moyo on the title track ‘Mwari Munoshamisa’ — who is basking in bagging the Best Traditional Gospel Musician gong at the recently held Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA).

Speaking through her manager, Baldwin Chidzikwe, the gospel diva said her new album is a gift to the Christina community as they fellowship in Christ.

“I am delighted to be releasing my second album on Saturday. This is a total package and I am sure all the compositions have something for everyone through the messages they convey. The tracks are interwoven and neatly dovetail into each other.

“The overall goal is to uplift and nourish the souls of believers with songs that they can relate to in their everyday experiences. My music is a ministry to the Christian community and ‘Mwari Munoshamisa’ carries a multiplicity of messages whose themes revolve around staying in prayer, keeping the faith in God and submitting to the Holy Spirit,” said Chidzikwe.

She said the launch of her new album comes at a time when her band is gearing to take their music countrywide and beyond by holding live shows as well as doing videos for the tracks.

Chidzikwe expressed gratitude to her fans for the continued support.
