Gospel outfit Reverb bounces back

LOCAL gospel outfit Reverb, which has been hibernating for more than a year, is set to reappear on the music scene with a public performance this weekend.
The three-member group, that is not new in the music arena after releasing three albums with the latest being Reflections, will be performing at Mutare Victory Tabernacle Church today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).

The gospel group, which hails from Pentecostal Assembly of Zimbabwe under Bishop Manhanga, last released an album ‘‘Reflections’’ in 2012 which included songs like Just Praise.

It is led by siblings Rutendo and Billy Ngoreta.

The worship night will also feature Sakubva-based a cappella group CCAP Voices of Sakubva and gospel outfit D28.
The show starts at 5pm and it is free of charge.

Tomorrow, the music concert will continue at the same venue from 2pm till 7pm.

Billy in an interview said that they were back on the music scene and were working on a comeback album due to be released before the end of the year.

“We feel privileged to reintroduce ourselves at an event that will see people from different denominations converging, worshipping God through music.

“I was away but I am back now and we are working on an Afro-Jazz project that will be released before end of year,” said Billy.
