GOT A KEEPER

ARSENAL No1 Aaron Ramsdale has got himself a keeper having become engaged to his stunning girlfriend.

Gunners and England shot-stopper Ramsdale popped the question to Georgina Irwin last week with the two making the announcement public on Instagram. Ramsdale got down on one knee in front of a huge “marry me” sign with Georgina flaunting her huge diamond ring.

Ramsdale (24) has become one of the Premier League’s top goalkeepers in recent seasons and has got this campaign off to a flyer – both on and off the pitch. Arsenal have picked up maximum points from their first two games.

And he is set to spend the rest of his life with British Airways stewardess Georgina, who also co-owns sportswear brand Gymnetix.

She clearly keeps herself in good shape too, regularly posting bikini pictures and holiday snaps from her many trips with ex-Bournemouth and Sheffield United keeper Ramsdale.

Being a flight attendant, Georgina gets to travel the world and has images from South Africa, Dubai, and the Bahamas among her Instagram highlights.

She has over 10 000 follows on the social media network and captioned the post announcing her engagement to Ramsdale with: “Forever and always has a nice ring to it.”

Ramsdale will be hoping to take Georgina to Qatar this winter as he battles for a spot as England No1 for the World Cup. Jordan Pickford has been Gareth Southgate’s preferred first-choice in recent years, but many believe Ramsdale should be between the sticks for the Three Lions.

Ramsdale recently said: “I’m in and around it at the moment. But things can change very quickly, especially this season; there is going to be Jordan (Pickford), myself, Sam Johnstone, Dean Henderson, Nick Pope and probably some others.

“There are probably going to be five or six English goalkeepers trying to get on the plane so although I’m around at the moment I need to keep myself there.

“The people I need to impress are the manager, the coaching staff and ultimately my team-mates. If I have their trust, then I’ll have the fans’ trust as well.” – Daily Star.
