GOVERNMENT has facilitated the delivery of another truckload of household and clothing items belonging to Zimbabweans returning home from South Africa.

The consignment, which is the third since the commencement of the repatriation exercise for Zimbabweans fleeing xenophobic attacks in South Africa, was delivered at the United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA) transit centre in Njube on Tuesday.

The belongings include refrigerators, beds, cupboards and bags containing clothes.

They are destined for various parts of Bulawayo, Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South and the Midlands provinces.

A team of volunteers at the transit centre is facilitating the distribution process by contacting returnees using the contact details marked on the respective items.

The latest delivery comes as Government continues to facilitate the return and reintegration of Zimbabweans affected by the unrest in South Africa.

The UCCSA transit centre has been serving as a temporary reception point for returnees, providing basic assistance as arrangements are made for their onward travel to their respective destinations.
