Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Mr Nick Mangwana today paid a visit to Avuxeni FM, a community radio station based in Chiredzi.

The station, which broadcasts primarily in Xitsonga, is celebrating its third year of operation, providing local news and entertainment to the community.

Mr Mangwana’s visit highlighted the government’s continued commitment to expanding access to information across Zimbabwe, particularly in underserved areas.

Speaking during the visit, Mr Mangwana emphasized Government’s plans to license more community radios this year, reinforcing the importance of media diversity and ensuring that all Zimbabweans, regardless of language or location, have access to reliable information.
