Government to announce ZISCO winning bidder soon

The partner should have enough financial muscle to pay off debts and recapitalise the firm among other attributes.

Industry and Commerce Minister Welshman Ncube said the partner should also have the money to pay for Government equity in Zisco that would have been set by the current shareholder. The three companies being considered are Jindal Steel, Sino-Zimbabwe and ESA Global.

Minister Ncube said this on Wednesday in Parliament during a question and answer session.
