Govt hail Muzhingi

the gruelling race for the third time in a row.
Muzhingi romped to victory in the 87 km ultra-marathon from Durban to Pietermaritzburg yesterday morning.
His success, which once again raised the Zimbabwe flag high, did not escape the government’s attention with the Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment Saviour Kasukuwere last night sending a congratulatory message to Muzhingi for his heroics.
Kasukuwere said: “The upsurge of young people who are doing the nation proud on the international fora is testimony of the positive policies that government has pursued over the years and a lot more should be done to create space for the development of young people in all spheres of life”.
The Minister also promised that Muzhingi would receive a hero’s welcome to set an example to young patriots around the globe that the government appreciates their efforts.
Details of when Muzhingi would return home were not yet available by last night but the Ministry revealed that a programme would be announced once the athlete’s itinerary has been confirmed.
