Green Machine to fine tune with Zambia tour

been doing their business quietly, have indicated that they will not leave anything to chance as they want to be very competitive this season.
An official at the club yesterday said they were hoping to engage a Zambian club in a practice match in mid-March before coming back home for the new season.
“We are still working on that.
“We would like to play one          friendly game in Zambia, maybe in the next two weeks, although there  are no confirmations yet,” said the official.
“It may be early to talk about it but it will be good for us if it materialises because our season is supposed to start at the end of the month.”
This will be their second tour,           outside the country, as they were involved in another tour to South Africa where they played Mamelodi Sundowns and Black Leopards in practice games.
The Green Machine beat Sundowns in a result that sent shockwaves at South Africa’s richest football club.
CAPS United stepped up their preparations last week when they went on a seven-day training camp in Chiredzi.
The coaches, Sean Connor and Lloyd Chitembwe, went with 23 players, who will make up the core of the Makepekepe side this year.
CAPS United have retained most        of their players and added new          names like Darryl Nyandoro, Rah-man Kutsanzira, Luckson Kaisa, Conrad Whitby, Chris Samakweri and former Hwange defender, Obert Moyo, who is on his way to the Green Machine.
They returned home recently and the coaches indicated that they will give their players a rest this weekend and will resume their training programme on Monday.
Chitembwe said the training camp in Chiredzi was beneficial for                 both the players and the technical team.
“It was all about bonding and I think we got what we wanted.
“It’s not every time that players and coaches get time out together for seven days.
“I think it was worth it,” said Chitembwe.
