A security guard at a farm in Mvuma recently ran amok and assaulted a supervisor he accused of serving him a small portion of isitshwalasadza before stabbing him once on the face with a sharp object, Gweru magistrate, Judith Taruvinga heard yesterday.On Tuesday last week, the complainant, Andrew Magama, a farm supervisor at Brokeshire farm was serving dinner meal portions to the security guards when he was confronted by Exaviour Musakande who accused him of giving him a very small portion.
Prosecuting, Hackson Kadungure said Musakande became violent and started punching Magama with fists. The court heard that Musakande later drew out a sharp object and stabbed Magama just below the left eye.
Kadungure said Musakande was later restrained by fellow security guards while still charging at the supervisor. The matter was reported to the police and Musakande was arrested.
He was remanded out of custody on his own cognisance to February 5
