Guns drawn at Dream Team pool party

WHAT should have been a cool pool party turned into a nightmare when a minor fight got out of control. Hip hop group Dream Team had invited some celebrities to their pool party at a private home in Westville, near Durban in KZN, on Saturday.

Guests had been enjoying themselves when four cars suddenly arrived and men armed with guns jumped out! While guests ran for cover, the gunmen ignored everyone except Durban businessman Mhlo Gumede. They pushed him up against a wall and moered him.

Mhlo pulled out his gun but no shots were fired. The guys retreated and sped off in their cars, but by then the party had been ruined. A source said the fight had begun earlier when Mhlo and a man known only as “Mabanga” had a “silly squabble”. “Mabanga called Mhlo ‘Makhoba’. Mhlo repeatedly corrected him, telling him his name was Gumede. Instead of apologising, Mabanga told Mhlo to f**k off or he would go out of the gate crawling like a baby,” said the source.

Mabanga said: “I called my crew to beat the hell out of Mhlo because earlier on at the party he pulled a gun on me.” Mhlo said he did not report the incident to the cops.

“Mabanga deliberately referred to me by somebody else’s surname. I corrected him many times, but he insisted,” said Mhlo.

Trevor Sineke of Dream Team said: “I’m not at liberty to say anything about the party.” – DailySun.
