“We need to encourage partnerships in small to medium to large enterprises rather than monopoly from country to country, continent to continent in the bid to create a stronger regional, continental and global economy,” he said.
“I also invited the first world countries to come to work with us in developing our infrastructure, as well value edition in our minerals as an emerging economy that has got its own targets of 2030,” he added.
Dr Manzungu highlighted that the African Continental Free Trade Area has huge potential hence the need to invite the globe to come and work together with Africa in investing financial resources to unlock wider business opportunities across different sectors.

“I am glad to report that many expressed interests and were now negotiating and having meetings to that effect. We also used the example of Sino-hydro where 1 300 megawatts of power are going to be generated through the partnership between Zimbabwe and China as a bid to encourage global partnership,” he said.
Dr Manzungu said agreements were also signed with some African companies and European companies keen to also exploit the emerging African real estate sector, which has higher potential in the infrastructure segment.
“To them, it means less risk as Zimbabwe is one of the co-founders, we look forward to seeing more infrastructure projects implemented because of this new big African project,” he said.
