Phiri (50) had admitted to the charges when he appeared before Gweru magistrate Ms Jeslene Mashiri.
His co-accused Bhekithemba Ncube (41) pleaded not guilty to stocktheft charges but offered to plead to a lesser charge of buying meat from a stolen beast.
Ms Mashiri remanded Ncube in custody to November 16 for trial.
Prosecutor Mr Michael Mhene told the court on October 28, police officers received information that Ncube was selling meat at his house before proceeding to his residence.
On arrival they recovered 60kg of beef in the bedroom while another 20kg was hidden outside.
He was interviewed in connection with the recovered meat and he implicated Phiri as the supplier.
